This is a hands-on engineering position that blends deep technical expertise with architectural thinking and technical leadership. You will work with modern data engineering practices, contribute to our Data Lakehouse platforms, and help shape the future of our cloud-native data ecosystem.Experience with Oracle or Sybase data warehouses is a plus, but not required.How You Will Make an Impact:Design, develop, and own end-to-end data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and large-scale data products.Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of Data Lakehouse architectures using AWS services and open table formats.Build and operate large-scale data processing solutions using Apache Spark on AWS EMR.Develop and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow.Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources, ensuring high data quality, performance, and reliability.Implement and manage data lakes using AWS Glue, Iceberg tables, and cloud object storage.Enable analytical access through Amazon Athena and support downstream reporting in PowerBI.Define and improve data models, data contracts, and engineering standards across the platform.Review technical solutions, mentor other engineers, and act as a technical reference point.Identify scalability, performance, and data quality issues and drive continuous improvements.Collaborate with existing Oracle or Sybase data warehouses during transition or coexistence phases when needed.What Makes You a Great Fit:Strong experience in data engineering within enterprise environments.Advanced SQL skills and solid understanding of analytical and dimensional data modeling.Hands-on experience with Data Lakehouse or modern data platform concepts (cloud object storage, open table formats, distributed processing).Proven experience with AWS data services (EMR, Glue, Athena, S3-based data lakes).Strong experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.Solid Python skills for ETL development, data processing, and automation.Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and reliable data pipelines.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system-level thinking skills.Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic levelWhy You Will Love Working Here:Flexibility.
