- Organize international freight shipments and prepare necessary shipping documentation.
- Coordinate courier deliveries and ensure on-time delivery of ordered goods when not handled by suppliers.
- Oversee the packing process of international shipments, including dangerous goods.
- Handle import and export customs formalities and resolve customs-related issues within project scopes.
- Support the logistics needs of our U.S. department.
- Ensure correct packaging, labeling, and documentation for dangerous goods in compliance with regulations.
- Communicate with project managers and shipment recipients regarding delivery status.
- Negotiate prices and contracts with carriers.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s logistics policies, systems, and procedures.
- Provide regular reports and improvement suggestions to the direct manager.
- Foster a collaborative and professional reputation for the logistics department within the organization.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a logistics specialist or similar role.
- Excellent command of Latvian and English (written and spoken).
- Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of customs procedures.
- Experience with dangerous goods packaging and a valid DGR certificate is preferred.
- Strong computer skills (Google Docs, Google Drive).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving mindset, flexibility, and accountability.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
